Local Restaurant Review

This review is intended to list some of the restaurants in Central Ohio that we have visited and enjoyed. In the interest of "speaking no evil", if we can't recommend a restaurant we just won't list it. If it changes and we don't like it anymore, we will remove it. I usually note the quality of the food, the service, and the prices. If nothing is noted, I either have nothing to say, or nothing nice to say.

Infinity 1230 Columbus Avenue, Marysville, Oh [937-642-3091] This is very much a "bar & grill", very homey and unpretentious, with wonderful food. The cook makes her own kimchee, and it is the best that I've ever tasted. Several oriental specialities, and good seafood menu. The Seafood Platter and Fried Shrimp are quite good. With it's fantastic service this has become our favorite eatery. [Note: even nicer in their new location, not far from the old one.]

The White Swan 5969 Marion Marysville Rd, Prospect, OH 43342 [740-494-2981] Nice food, decent prices, decent service, good Friday and Saturday night specials. I like the Prime Rib.

Sandy's Bar & Grill 333 Mill Creek Drive, Marysville, OH [937-644-8866] We had their Friday "all you can eat fish fry" and really liked it. Although a Bar and Grill, the dinner seating if far enough from the bar that you don't notice. Had a large number of oriental dishes on the menu. Decent prices, decent service.

Stockyard Steakhouse & Saloon 404 S Oak St, Marysville, OH - (937) 644-2691 Extremely Excellent Steaks.

Family Pizzeria 707 South Maple Street, Marysville, OH [937-644-8181] This is a great little pizza place. Free popcorn, and the food, service, and prices are good.

Little Tony's Pizzeria 900 Columbus Avenue, Marysville, OH [937-644-1717 or toll free 877-837-4026] Good, reasonably priced pizza, small eating area but we've never found it crowded. [They have added on some more eating area, but we haven't been there recently to check it out.]

Old Town Inn 113 West 5th Street, Marysville, OH [937-644-0315] We used to like this place a great deal, but haven't been there in quite awhile. Will write a new review when we have a chance to visit it again.

The Brown Jug 13 W. William St., Delaware, OH [740-369-3471] This is another place that we used to like, but haven't been there in quite awhile. Will write a new review when we have a chance to visit it again.

The Grand Circuit 1185 U.S. Rte. 23 N., Delaware, OH [740-369-6922] One of the most elegant dining experiences in the area. Get a baby-sitter, abandon your children, and mortgage the house. This is the place for that special dinner where you are not looking at the prices, and want to wear your best outfit. It was formerly known as Tall Pines. [Note: As the website no longer exists, and we haven't been that way in awhile, we don't know if they are still there.]

The Whitaker House Powell, Ohio This teahouse used to operate in Marysville under the name "The Painted Lady". Although pricey, the quality is excellent, and there really is nothing like a real tea party. I don't even like tomato soups, and find their tomato bisque to be amazing. We look forward to trying them in their new incarnation.
